BOGOR - Bogor Resort Police (Polres), West Java Police appealed to motorists to Bogor-Cianjur or Bandung to avoid the Puncak Line, due to the density of vehicle volume.

"People who will go to Cianjur/Bandung can use alternative routes," said Bogor Police Chief AKBP Iman Imanuddin, quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, April 25.

He explained that there are two alternative routes for motorists from Bogor to Cianjur and Bandung, namely the Cibubur-Cileungsi-Jonggol Cariu-Cikalong-Cianjur route. Then, another alternative route is through the Ciawi/Bocimi-Cicurug-Cibadak-Kota Sukabumi-Cianjur route.

The reason is, today the police have been implementing one-way traffic engineering or (one way) down or Jakarta on the Puncak Line.

One way towards Jakarta is enforced from 08.00 WIB to 14.30 WIB. Then the traffic flow is normal for a while, and one way to Jakarta applies again at 16.30 WIB until the evening.

"This morning we carried out a one way towards Jakarta in order to drain the density along the Puncak Line, coincidentally the traffic flow from the Cianjur direction was also quite heavy, so we finished out first," said Iman.

KBO Satlantas Bogor Police Iptu Ardian Novianto said the police recorded as many as 430,066 vehicles entering the Puncak area, Bogor Regency, West Java during the 1444 Hijri Eid holiday momentum.

This number, he said, is an accumulation of vehicles passing from Tuesday 18 April to Monday 24 April.

"430,066 vehicles consist of 166,995 two-wheeled vehicles, 259,244 four-wheeled vehicles, and 3,827 buses," said Ardian.

The volume of vehicles on the Puncak Line increased dramatically after the D Day of Lebaran 2023. Most of this happened on Monday which reached 83,313 vehicles. While the least is before Lebaran, precisely on Wednesday, 48,593 vehicles.
