'Officers Of Homecoming Service Posts Don't Just Sit Down'

JAKARTA - Riau Police Chief Inspector General Mohammad Iqbal asked the police on duty at the Security Post or Lebaran 2023 Homecoming Service Post not to just sit around. They must actively provide services to the community.

"I ordered the officers on duty at Operation Ketupat Lancang Kuning 2023 to go all out. If there is traffic jams, they will go down and make police efforts. Do not let the Pospam exist, but the people in it are just sitting around," said Kapolda Iqbal while inspecting the Security Post in Pekanbaru City, Tuesday, April 18 evening.

Inspector General Mohammad Iqbal and his staff reviewed a number of Security Posts (Pospam) for Operation Ketupat Lancang Kuning 2023 in Pekanbaru to ensure the readiness of officers to carry out their duties. There are several Pospams reviewed by Iqbal, starting at Simpang Confused, Rumbai and Pospam Garuda Sakti.

In addition to talking with officers, the Kapolda also talked with motorists passing around the Simpang area confused in Rumbai District, Pekanbaru.

According to Iqbal, the existence of Pospam is important because it can provide security and provide services to the community.

"I have seen that the readiness is quite ready because the existence of this Pospam is a guarantee of a sense of security and providing services to the community," he said.

When reviewing the Pospam, Iqbal highlighted two potential vulnerabilities that need to be anticipated ahead of Eid al-Fitr.

"There are two potential vulnerabilities, namely disturbances to Kamtibmas (security and public order) and security of traffic order," explained Iqbal.

He also ordered officers at the security post to deploy all their personnel while on duty.

In addition to checking the post and giving directions, the Riau Police Chief accompanied by his wife also gave gifts to personnel on duty at the Pospam.
