Why Does Ganjar Have A Bigger Chance To Boost Electability Than Prabowo And Anies?

JAKARTA - A researcher from Saiful Mujani Research and Consulting (SMRC), Saidiman Ahmad, expressed his views regarding the electability of the Governor of Central Java, Ganjar Pranowo, in the context of the 2024 presidential election (Pilpres).

According to Saidiman, Ganjar Pranowo has a greater chance of boosting his electability than the General Chair of Gerindra, Prabowo Subianto, and the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Anies Baswedan.

"The room for Ganjar to increase electability is still quite large because the level of popularity or recognition is still lower than Prabowo and Anies," said Saidiman, Tuesday, April 18.

"There is an opportunity for Ganjar to increase electability along with the wider public awareness. This is different from Prabowo, who is already known to almost all residents." he added.

Although Ganjar's electability had decreased after Indonesia failed to host the U20 World Cup, Saidiman considered it temporary.

Saidiman believes that there is still a big space for Ganjar Pranowo to increase his electability, especially with the wider public awareness of him. This is different from Prabowo, which is already known by almost all residents.

Saidiman also considered that Ganjar's opportunity to get the blessing of Megawati Soekarnoputri, the General Chair of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP), and President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) was very large, even the biggest compared to other figures.

According to him, as a PDIP cadre, Ganjar is considered very competitive and his voice tends to be superior to other figures. PDIP as a big party certainly wants to bring its cadre back to being president.

"So far, Ganjar is the most competitive PDIP cadre and even his voice tends to be superior to other figures," said Saidiman.

Saidiman believes PDIP will not miss the opportunity to make Ganjar a presidential candidate in the 2024 General Election.

In addition, Saidiman also believes that President Jokowi and Megawati Soekarnoputri will have one voice in carrying Ganjar Pranowo in the 2024 presidential election. According to Saidiman, Ganjar is the most potential and competitive PDIP cadre in the 2024 presidential election.

Thus, Saidiman expressed his belief that PDIP would not give up the opportunity to re-make their cadres president in the 2024 general election.
