PAPUA - Head of the Public Relations Task Force for Damai Cartenz Ops Kombes Donny Charles Go claims that there was no shootout between the apparatus and the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) in Nduga Regency, Papua Mountains. Kasum TNI informed the latest developments regarding the firefight. The location of the 21 soldiers was unknown.

According to him, currently there are only five soldiers whose whereabouts are not yet known after the attack carried out by the KKB during the Susi Air pilot search operation, Philip Mark Mertens.

"There are still others who have not been confirmed, but only 5 people remain," Bambang told reporters at the Monas Cross Field, Jakarta, Monday, April 17.

Meanwhile, soldiers who had disappeared after the shootout with the KKB were said to have returned to their respective posts. They are members of the Raider 321/Galuh Taruna Infantry Battalion (Yonif).

"The others have returned to their respective posts. So there are a lot of confusing news, so that's not true," said Bambang.

During the shootout, one TNI soldier died on behalf of Pratu Miftahul Arifin. Pratu Miftahul was shot during an ambush.
