In The Aftermath Of The Flexing Case, DKI Transportation Agency Officials Are Rotated But Not Dropped Ranks

Head of the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency, Syafrin Liputo, said that the Auroffy Massdes was rotated from the position of Head of Traffic Control and Operations and Road Transportation Division of the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency.

This is the aftermath of the flexing case of the Massdes family which is widely discussed by netizens on social media. Despite being rotated to other fields, Massdes did not experience a demotion.

"Today the person concerned (Massdes) is one of the rotated ones. So it is no longer in the field of operational control. Now at UPT testing (motorized vehicles)," said Syafrin at DKI Jakarta City Hall, Wednesday, April 12.

Why was Massdes not promoted as a result of this flexing case? Syafrin explained, so far the DKI Jakarta Inspectorate has not found any indication of misuse of the budget which has resulted in regional losses.

Given, when the Massdes family's luxury items were checked, the expensive branded bag that his wife exhibited turned out to be fake or KW.

"Because indeed from the results of clarification by the inspectorate, the characteristics of the goods are not genuine," said Syafrin.

However, Massdes is still considered to have violated its ethics as a civil servant. Syafrin explained that all government employees must always obey the law and have integrity in carrying out their activities.

"Based on that, of course, the principle of integrity must be in front, obey all existing regulations. In essence, automatically with these patterns, the person concerned will be carried away by a simple lifestyle to his environment, both in the office and in the family," he explained.

For information, netizens exposed the behavior of Massdes' wife and children who often uploaded photos of their appearances and accessories, ranging from bags, shoes, to camera lenses.

When traced, the price of bags exhibited by the Massdes family varied, ranging from tens and tens of millions of rupiah. In fact, there was one Hermès bag exhibited by Masdess' wife, if genuine, the price reached Rp1.5 billion.

However, Masdess is recorded to only have assets of IDR 1.8 billion per year 2021. This was revealed in the report on the assets of state officials (LHKPN) reported by Masdes on March 12, 2022.

For the crowd, the Inspectorate of DKI Jakarta has investigated the Massdes. As a result, the bag is claimed to be fake or KW and he will be sanctioned for showing off his luxurious lifestyle.
