KPK Reminds Officials Not To Accept THR To Parcel From Other Parties During Eid

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) reminded officials not to accept any gifts during Eid al-Fitr. This prohibition is based on the KPK Circular (SE) Number 6 of 2023 concerning Prevention of Corruption and Control of Certificates Related to Holidays. "In the SE, the KPK reminds state officials and civil servants to refuse gratuities related to positions and contrary to their obligations or duties, especially regarding the celebration of Eid Al-Fitr 2023," Acting KPK Spokesperson for Prevention Ipi Maryati told reporters, Monday, April 10. Ipi reminded that holiday allowances (THR) and gifts are prohibited for officials. This action can cause conflicts of interest that are against the rules and have criminal risks. Not only that, the KPK also asked officials not to use official facilities for personal gain, including when going home to their hometowns. "Official facilities should only be used for official purposes," he said. Even if these officials cannot refuse gifts, they are expected to report to the KPK. They have 30 working days at the latest since gratification. Officials can report through the online gratification reporting application (GOL) on the link https://gol.kpk.go.id or electronic mail at the reporting [email protected].

"If there is a request for gratification, bribery, or extortion by civil servants or state administrators, the KPK urges them to immediately report it to law enforcement officials or authorities," concluded Ipi.
