Gerindra And PAN Meet This Afternoon, KIB And KIR Have The Opportunity To Merge Into A Big Coalition

JAKARTA - Gerindra Party Chairman Prabowo Subianto will receive a visit from the Chairman of the National Mandate Party (PAN), Zulkifli Hasan and his staff at his residence on Jalan Kertanegara, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, Saturday, April 8. The meeting at 15.00 WIB is said to be discussing the follow-up to the formation of a major coalition initiated by five parties at PAN headquarters at the end of last week. With the meeting of Gerindra and PAN, it opens up opportunities for the merger of the United Indonesia Coalition (KIB) with the Greater Indonesia Awakening Coalition (KIR). Gerindra Deputy General Chair Habiburokhman, agrees that the meeting of the two political party leaders this afternoon is an effort to realize a major coalition in the 2024 election.

"This is part of our efforts, for Gerindra to enlarge the coalition. We both want a big coalition," said Habiburokhman, Saturday, April 8.

Despite receiving a visit from PAN, Habiburokhman ensured that the relationship between Gerindra and PKB as coalition partners in the KKIR was still going well. In fact, not only PAN, he said, his party also opened the door to friendship with other political parties, both parliamentary and non-parpol.

"So we visit or we are visited, it is natural. All political parties communicate with each other, including the two major coalitions, currently continue to communicate," said Habiburokhman.
