Brigadier General Endar Priantoro: My Presence At The KPK Orders The National Police Chief

Brigadier General Endar Priantoro confirmed that he would follow the orders of the National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo regarding his assignment as Director of Investigation at the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK). "As a member of the National Police, (I) will certainly carry out the order of the National Police Chief. My presence here (KPK) is an order from the National Police Chief," Endar said when confirmed in Jakarta, Antara, Tuesday, April 4. Endar added that he would still carry out his duties as ordered by Listyo Sigit regarding his assignment to the anti-corruption agency. "I work here (KPK) also because of the order of the National Police Chief. As long as I can do the things that are here, I will do it. I don't know what the KPK leadership will do to me. At least, I did my job as a member of the National Police assigned by the National Police Chief at the Corruption Eradication Commission," he explained. He also had no problem with the appointment of Ronald Worotikan as Acting Director of Investigation. According to Endar, this is not related to the issue of his assignment. He even said he still had access to matters related to work at the KPK, such as electronic mail access (email), rooms, and internal systems. However, Endar was no longer invited to work meetings involving the director of the investigation. Related to this, Endar reported KPK Chairman Firli Bahuri to the KPK Supervisory Board. The report on this is planned to be carried out on Monday. "What I report is related to the decision of the Secretary General of the KPK on March 31, 2023, which in principle stipulates that I am honorably dismissed as Director of Investigation of the KPK as of April 1, 2023," said Endar. Meanwhile, National Police Chief General Pol. Listyo Sigit Prabowo again wrote to Firli Bahuri regarding the answer to the return of Polri members to serve in the KPK environment. The reply letter is registered with Number: B/2725/IV/KEP./2023 signed by Listyo Sigit on Monday, April 3, 2023, contains a decision to maintain or assign Brigadier General Pol. Endar Priantoro as Director of KPK Investigation. In the reply letter, Listyo Sigit conveyed to the KPK leadership the re-handling of Brigadier General Pol. Endar Priantoro who carried out his assignment as Director of Investigation of the KPK.

In addition, the letter also conveyed that the National Police were preparing the best candidates to fill the deputy for prosecution and execution of the KPK.
