JAKARTA - Former director of investigations by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Brigadier General Endar Priantoro reported KPK Chairman Firli Bahuri to the KPK Supervisory Board (Dewas) regarding his removal. Endar emphasized that he had received a letter of extension of his assignment at the KPK. However, the KPK leadership decided to remove him from office and return him to the Bhayangkara Corps. "This has been extended, but for no apparent reason I also don't know what the considerations are. Later we will examine the considerations of the KPK leadership, the secretary general then issues a decree. We will test it later, both in the Council and in other cross-laws," Endar explained when confirmed in Jakarta, Antara, Tuesday, April 4. Endar revealed that he had been assigned by the National Police for three years at the KPK and towards the end of his assignment period, the National Police would always provide letters related to the assignment. "What I report is related to the decision of the Secretary General of the KPK on March 31, 2023, which in principle stipulates that I am honorably dismissed as Director of Investigation of the KPK as of April 1, 2023," said Endar. Meanwhile, National Police Chief General Pol. Listyo Sigit Prabowo again wrote to Firli Bahuri regarding the answer to the return of Polri members to serve in the KPK environment. The reply letter is registered with Number: B/2725/IV/KEP./2023 signed by Listyo Sigit on Monday, April 3, 2023, contains a decision to maintain or assign Brigadier General Pol. Endar Priantoro as Director of KPK Investigation. In the reply letter, Listyo Sigit conveyed to the KPK leadership the re-handling of Brigadier General Pol. Endar Priantoro who carried out his assignment as Director of Investigation of the KPK. Related to this, the Secretary General (Sekjen) of the KPK Cahya H. Harefa said that his party had sent a re-handling letter to the National Police on March 30, 2023 and honorably dismissed Brigadier General Endar Priantoro from his position as Director of KPK Investigation. "Where is Mr. Endar P's tenure at the KPK ending on March 31, 2023," said Cahya in a written statement received in Jakarta, Monday.
