Wanting To Buy And Sell Methamphetamine, Two Dealers In West Sumatra Pasaman Were Arrested By The Police

SIMPANG EMPAT - The Narcotics Research Unit of the West Pasaman Police, West Sumatra, arrested the hands of two people suspected of being drug dealers of the methamphetamine type in Jorong, Cubadak Village, Nagari Lingkung Aur, Pasaman District.

Head of the West Pasaman Police Narcotics Research Unit AKP Eri Yanto at Simpang Empat, said Thursday that the two suspected drug dealers were residents of Rao District, Pasaman Regency, namely the initials MA (23) and TW (20) who were arrested on Wednesday night.

He explained that the arrest of the perpetrators began with information from residents at the Jorong intersection, Kampung Cubadak, Nagari Lingkung Aur, that there was an indication that a methamphetamine-type narcotic transaction would occur.

Based on the residents' information, said Yanto, the Narcotics Unit Operational Team immediately made further investigation efforts into the information at around 20.45 WIB.

"I and the West Pasaman Police Narcotics Unit Operations team arrested MA and TW, after conducting a search of TW who was found to have stored evidence in the form of two medium-sized packages suspected of containing methamphetamine in his jacket pocket", he said.

Based on the suspect's confession, Yanto said, the plan was for the illicit goods to be distributed in West Pasaman.

He added that in addition to securing evidence in the form of two methamphetamine packages, he also secured evidence in the form of two mobile phones, a digital scale, a motorcycle without a police number, IDR 250,000 in cash, and a black jacket.

"For now the two suspects and evidence are being held at the West Pasaman Police Headquarters for further investigation", he said.

According to him, West Pasaman Police Narcotics Investigation Unit investigators applied article 114 paragraph (2) in conjunction with article 112 paragraph (2) of the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 35 of 2009 concerning narcotics.

"We also ask for the cooperation of all parties in eradicating the circulation of narcotics because we will follow up even the slightest information", he said.
