Will Have New Jeep And Sedan As Official Vehicle, Acting Governor Heru Admits Innova Is Enough

JAKARTA - Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono will receive two operational official vehicles budgeted by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government through the 2023 APBD.

The two official cars that will be purchased are a sedan-type electric car with the Hyundai Ioniq 5 Signature brand and a jeep whose brand has not yet been determined. These two types of cars are standard official vehicles for regional heads at the provincial level.

However, said DKI Jakarta Regional Secretary (Sekda) Joko Agus Setyono, Heru actually wanted an official car with a lower standard, which was on par with the Kijang Innova. This type of car was used by Heru as his official vehicle during his tenure as Head of the Presidential Secretariat (Kasetpres).

"Regarding the provision of individual governor's official vehicles in DKI, the Acting Governor only asked to be provided with standard Kijang Innova official cars, below the governor's official vehicle standards, namely jeeps and sedans," Joko told reporters, Friday, March 3.

It's just that, in accordance with Presidential Instruction (Inpres) Number 7 of 2022 concerning the Use of Battery-Based Electric Motorized Vehicles as Government Operational Service Vehicles, all state and regional officials are advised to use electric cars.

"So far, the provision of private governor's official vehicles has not been carried out because the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government is making adjustments to the governor regulations regarding the management of official vehicles," he said.

While waiting for the process of procuring a new official car to be completed and operational, Joko continued, Heru is currently still using his official car as Head of Presidential Secretariat branded Innova Venturer.

"The Acting Governor is currently still using an official vehicle from the State Secretariat, he is the head of the Presidential secretariat," he explained.

If Heru's two official cars as Acting Governor are operational, the Innova Venturer will still be used by Heru when he is carrying out his duties as Head of the Presidential Secretariat.

Then, where did the DKI Governor's official car go, which has been used by Anies Baswedan in carrying out his work in Jakarta? Joko said the official Land Cruiser brand car had been sold to the former Governor of DKI at a low price.

Joko said, sales of official cars to state officials were also regulated in Government Regulation Number 2020 concerning Amendments to Government Regulation Number 84 of 2014 concerning Sales of State/Regional Property in the Form of Service Individual Vehicles.

"There is a stipulation that regional heads who serve more than 4 years are allowed to take over the official vehicle. But it is not free, it is sold at an affordable price and the mechanism uses direct appointment," explained Joko.
