JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) recorded an increase in the number of areas inundated by floods this afternoon. As of 15.00 WIB, it was recorded that 55 RTs were submerged.

"BPBD recorded inundation that previously occurred in 9 roads and 35 RTs, now 8 roads are inundated and 55 RTs or 0.181 per cent of the 30,470 RTs in the DKI Jakarta area", said the Chief Executive of the DKI Jakarta BPBD Isnawa Adji in his statement, Friday, February 24.

Isnawa said the highest rainfall was in Muara Angke with a height of 101 millimetres per day.

BPBD DKI Jakarta has deployed personnel to monitor inundation conditions in each area and coordinate elements from the SDA Service, Bina Marga Service, and Gulkarmat Service to suck up puddles and ensure the water lines function properly together with the local village heads and sub-district heads.

"The inundation is targeted to recede quickly", he said. BPBD DKI appealed to the public to remain cautious and alert to potential inundation", he said.
