Joe Biden's Super Impermeable Trip To Kyiv, Journalists Sworn To Secrecy

JAKARTA - Suddenly, Joe Biden appeared in Kyiv to meet Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. Just so you know, it's not an easy job to be able to keep the US president's super dangerous journey a secret.

Sunday, February 19, when the sun had not yet risen, Biden quietly left Washington. Air Force One took off at 04:15.

There were also journalists who flew with Biden. But reportedly, they do not know where the president is going this time. They also took an oath to secrecy and all the phones they brought were secured by the secret service first.

Biden flew with Jake Sullivan, the president's national security adviser; Jen O'Malley Dillon, his deputy chief of staff; and Annie Tomasini, director of operations for the Oval Office.

Reporters who participated were allowed to send group reports to other journalists with a note after Biden arrived. And it's strictly forbidden to tell how Biden got to Kyiv.

According to the New York Times, who received information from an official, Biden flew to Poland. From there, he continued his journey by train.

Not the right choice indeed flying into a war zone. Biden departed on the same train journey and then headed back to Warsaw, Poland.

Biden's entourage then made its way through streets cleared of local traffic to the Mariinsky Palace. It was here that he was greeted by Zelensky, wearing his trademark black T-shirt with dark green pants and cream boots.

“Thanks for coming,” Zelensky said, shaking Mr. Biden's hand.

"I think it's very important that there is no doubt, not anything, about US support for Ukraine in the war," Biden replied.
