Jokowi Mania Volunteers Will Visit Kertanegara, Gerindra: Good, Prabowo's Supporters' Carriages Are Getting Longer

JAKARTA - Deputy General Chairperson of the Gerindra Party Habiburokhman admits that he does not know exact information about the planned visit of Jokowi Mania (JoMan) volunteers to Kertanegara.

Kartanegara in South Jakarta is the residence of the General Chair of the Gerindra Party, Prabowo Subianto. The plan is to be visited by JoMan on Thursday, February 16, afternoon.

Even so, Habiburokhman appreciates JoMan's support for Prabowo in the 2024 presidential election. According to him, this support adds to the length of the Prabowo support train series.

"If it's true, thank God it's good, so the carriages of Prabowo's supporters are getting longer and longer", Habiburokhman told journalists, Thursday, February 16.

"Including those who were not with us before, not with Pak Prabowo, now they are with us", he added.

Habiburokhman also admitted that he did not question the track record of the General Chairperson of JoMan, Immanuel Ebenezer or Noel, who had been a witness in defence of Munarman, a defendant in a suspected terrorism crime case.

According to him, Noel's attitude was not a form of support for acts of terrorism. However, defending Munarman's thoughts is beyond suspicion of his involvement in terrorist activities.

"There's no problem, we sometimes have different opinions, on the other hand, we also have the same opinion. There's no problem. This is a democratic country", said Habiburokhman.

Previously, JoMan Volunteers officially supported Gerindra Chairman Prabowo Subianto as a 2024 Presidential Candidate. This support was stated after JoMan disbanded the Ganjar Pranowo Mania (GP Mania) volunteers as well as withdrew support for the Governor of Central Java to advance in the 2024 Presidential Election.

The Head of JoMan Volunteers, Immanuel Ebenezer believes Prabowo can become the 8th President of the Republic of Indonesia to replace Joko Widodo (Jokowi) who retires in 2024. JoMan also plans to form a support organ called Prabowo Mania 08.

"Changing it is Prabowo Mania 08. Why 08? Because later we believe that Prabowo will be the 8th president in 2024", said Noel at the JoMan Central Executive Board Office, Panglima Polim VII Street, South Jakarta, Wednesday, February 15.

Noel also emphasized that JoMan volunteers were still there because Jokowi was still President. "Yes, that's for sure. Yesterday was GP Mania, and now Prabowo Mania. Still, Jokowi Mania exists. Because ethically, Jokowi is still leading, we must respect him", he said.
