Vice President Accompanied By His Wife Flies To Central Tapanuli

JAKARTA - Vice President Ma'ruf Amin left for Central Tapanuli, North Sumatra to attend the Barus Berselawat event for Indonesia which was held in Central Tapanuli.

The Vice President and his entourage departed on the BAE-RJ 85 Presidential Aircraft, from the Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base at 14.00 WIB to Dr. Ferdinand Lumban Tobing, Central Tapanuli, North Sumatra.

Travel to Dr. Airport. Ferdinand Lumban Tobing estimated travel time for 2 hours 15 minutes.

Upon arrival, the Vice President was scheduled to be greeted by the Regional Secretary of North Sumatra Province Arief S. Trinugroho, Commander of the Regional Military Command I/Bukit Barisan Maj. Gen. A. Daniel Chardin, North Sumatra Regional Police Chief Inspector General of Police. R.Z. Panca Putra Simanjuntak, Danlantamal II Padang First Admiral Benny Febri, Chief Prosecutor of North Sumatra Idianto, and Mayor of Sibolga H. Jamaluddin Pohan.

Furthermore, the Vice President will go straight to the place to stay overnight before carrying out a working visit agenda the next day.

On Wednesday (15/2), the Vice President is scheduled to attend the main agenda, namely the Barus Selawat event for Indonesia at Merdeka Barus Square, Padang Masiang, Barus District, Central Tapanuli Regency.

Apart from that, the Vice President will also stop at the Raya Barus Mosque to plant camphor and spice trees.

Closing the agenda for his working visit, the Vice President will also make a pilgrimage to the Mahligai Cemetery complex, Daek Dakka Barus Village.

For information, according to various literature, Barus is an old city. Much older before other Nusantara civilizations were born and grew.

The Barus area was known as the Emporium City in the 7th century.

As an international port city that is visited by merchants from various countries in the world. This area has the potential to be developed into a historical tourism area as well as a leading religious tourism destination in Central Tapanuli.

Accompanying the Vice President on the plane this time included Head of the Vice Presidential Secretariat Ahmad Erani Yustika, Special Staff for the Vice President Masduki Baidlowi, Robikin Emhas, and Arif Rahmansyah Marbun, and the Expert Team for the Vice President Farhat Brachma.
