BP3MI NTB Facilitates Repatriation Of Indonesian Worker Suffering Stroke In Dubai

MATARAM - The West Nusa Tenggara Indonesian Migrant Worker Protection Service Center (BP3MI) facilitated the repatriation of a constrained Indonesian migrant worker (PMI) with the initials AM who was 50 years old and had a stroke in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

"We have facilitated a 50-year-old PMI from Sumbawa who is sick in her placement country in Dubai," said the Head of BP3MI NTB, Mangiring Hasoloan Sinaga in Mataram, reported by ANTARA, Monday, January 30.

The man who is familiarly called Bang Naga said the facilitation for sick PMI was in the form of pick-up at Lombok's Zainudin Abdul Madjid International Airport (BIZAM), and assistance to the area of ​​origin which was provided free of charge by the government.

The pick-up at BIZAM was carried out after his party received information from BP3MI Banten, that there were problems with the return of PMI from Moyo Hilir District, Sumbawa Regency.

"After arriving in Jakarta, the PMI was then flown to Lombok using an Air Asia flight and arrived safely," he said.

Bang Naga said that upon arrival at BIZAM Lombok, PMI, who was in an ill condition, was picked up by officers who brought her a wheelchair. Then the officers joined to cross to Sumbawa Island until they arrived at the destination house.

"The constrained PMI was handed over to the family today and witnessed by representatives from the Sumbawa Regency Manpower and Transmigration Office as well as heads of local hamlets and villages," he said

Bang Naga also appealed to the people of NTB to be vigilant if there are people who claim to have helped facilitate the return of PMI for a fee. If any are found, report them immediately to BP3MI NTB.
