Gerindra Opens The Door Widely For Kaesang Pangarep To Join

JAKARTA - Gerindra Party Deputy Chairperson, Gerardus Budisatrio Djiwandono, said his party opened the door for Kaesang Pangarep if he wanted to join the political party (party) chaired by Prabowo Subianto.

Budi admitted that Prabowo had heard of Kaesang's interest in entering politics. This information was obtained by Prabowo when he met Kaesang's older brother and Mayor of Solo, Gibran Rakabuming yesterday.

"The Gerindra Party welcomes President Jokowi's youngest son's plan to enter politics, and always opens its doors wide if Kaesang wants to join and fight together for the Indonesian people," said Budi to VOI, Wednesday, January 25.

Budi said Gerindra encouraged Indonesia's younger generation to care about and be active in politics, regardless of their background. According to him, the participation of the younger generation in politics is very important, especially in determining the direction of the nation going forward.

"As general chairman of the Gerindra Party, Mr. Prabowo believes that politics is an instrument to bring change and prosperity to the Indonesian people," said the DPR member.

Therefore, Gerindra hopes that Kaesang will contribute to serving the country through political channels. Moreover, being a party cadre with the Garuda bird symbol.

"On various occasions, Mr. Prabowo and the Gerindra Party have also always given space and confidence to youth to serve the country through political channels, both at the national and regional levels," said the spokesperson for winning the 2024 presidential election.

"This is solely done for the sake of starting to realize leadership regeneration, which will one day be carried out by today's youth," added Budi.

Previously, the General Chairperson of Gerindra Prabowo Subianto claimed to have heard the news that Kaesang Pangarep was interested in entering politics.

The Minister of Defense also welcomed the wishes of President Joko Widodo's youngest son. In fact, Prabowo would be happy if he could make Kaesang a cadre of the party he leads.

“I am very happy if he can become a cadre. I haven't met him (Kaesang)," he said after having dinner with the Mayor of Solo at Lodji Gandrung Solo, Tuesday, January 24, evening.
