JAKARTA - Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka emphasized the importance of alignment in training, productivity, and labor market needs in order to increase quality employment.

This was conveyed by Vice President Gibran while reviewing the implementation of the work market at the Vocational Festival of the Medan Vocational and Productivity Training Center (BBPVP), at the BBPVP Medan office, Lalang, Medan City, North Sumatra, Monday, December 23.

"Collaboration between governments, companies and training institutions is very important to produce workers who are competent, productive, and ready to compete in the globalization era," he said as quoted by ANTARA.

According to Vice President Gibran, Medan's BBPVP Job Fair can be an effective bridge between job seekers and employers.

Moreover, with the support of vocational training, he said, job seekers are expected not only to get jobs, but also to increase their abilities and potential, so as to be able to boost productivity and improve the quality of life in a sustainable manner.

On that occasion, Vice President Gibran also had a dialogue with the organizers and applicants regarding the information on the work offered.

One of Ega's job applicants expressed his joy because through this activity he was able to obtain important information about job vacancies.

"I'm quite happy because it helps to know that there are several companies that accept applicants," he said.

He hopes that similar jobs exchanges will be held more often, especially to support new graduates to get jobs soon.

"Hopefully there will be more fair jobs like this, especially for us who have just entered the world of work. This is very necessary," he said.

Vice President Gibran was present with the wife of Selvi Ananda on the agenda. In addition, the Minister of Manpower Yassierli and Acting Governor of North Sumatra Agus Fatoni Hasibuan were also present.
