JAKARTA - The National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) has updated the latest developments regarding the number of victims due to the 5.6 magnitude earthquake that rocked Cianjur, West Java, Monday, November 22 yesterday.
As of 17.20 WIB, today, 268 people have died.
The head of BNPB, Suharyanto, said that of the number of people who died, 122 bodies had been identified.
"Then besides that, there are still missing victims. We are still searching for 151 people. We will investigate whether 151 parts of those that have not been identified are further investigated", he explained, quoted from BNPB Indonesia's Youtube, Tuesday, November 22 evening.
In addition to those who died, BNPB also recorded that 1083 people were injured and 58,362 people were evacuated.
"Then the material loss of houses was 6,0570 heavily damaged, 2,071 units lightly damaged, 12,641 units lightly damaged and the rest are still being collected.
