MEDAN - The surveillance camera of a gift shop in the city of Medan recorded the theft of a woman's cell phone, Azizah. The incident occurred at the victim's gift shop on Gagak Hitam Street, Medan Sunggal District.

In the CCTV footage, a man wearing a black helmet initially came to the victim's shop.

The victim, when met by reporters, explained that initially the perpetrator came and asked about the famous Bika Ambon cake in Medan City.

Because Bika Ambon was not in the victim's shop, the perpetrator left. However, 5 minutes later, the perpetrator came back to buy another Bika Ambon.

The victim said that at that time she was wrapping the cake and did not focus on the perpetrator. Suddenly, the perpetrator took the victim's cellphone and ran away.

"He was on the phone, so I didn't serve him, and I was also busy. Then he took my cell phone, which was near the cashier's desk", said Azizah, Thursday, November 17.

In addition to the cellphone, Azizah admitted that she had lost IDR 50 thousand. The money, she said, was tucked inside her cell phone case.

"The characteristics of the perpetrator are big, fat and he is alone", she said again.

Despite the loss, Azizah did not report it to the police. She just wanted the incident to go viral so that the cake shop owner or others would be careful with the mode she was experiencing.
