JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has scheduled an examination of Papua Governor Lukas Enembe on Monday, September 26. The second summons has been sent by the investigator.

"The investigation is scheduled for Monday, September 26, 2022, at the KPK's Merah Putih Building," said Head of the KPK News Section, Ali Fikri, to reporters, Thursday, September 22.

Ali said that this second call was made because on Monday, September 12, Lukas was not present when he was being questioned. He was asked to cooperate in being present in Jakarta for questioning.

"We hope that the suspect and his legal advisers will be cooperative in attending because this is an opportunity to be able to explain directly in front of the KPK investigators team," he said.

Lukas was asked not to hesitate to go to the KPK headquarters. Ali ensured that the investigation into the alleged corruption that ensnared would run according to the applicable mechanism.

"We also want to emphasize that the investigation process carried out by the KPK is in accordance with legal procedures and provisions. So that we make sure that the rights of the suspect are taken into account as the legal corridor applies," said Ali.

As previously reported, Lukas Enembe has been named a suspect by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK). This determination is based on complaints from the public.

The details of the case against him have not been disclosed but he has been prevented from going abroad for six months. As for the announcement of the construction of the case that ensnared Lukas, it will be made public during the forced detention effort.
