Completing Ferdy Sambo's Dismissal File, The Police Immediately Send It To The State Secretariat

JAKARTA - The National Police are still completing the administrative process of dismissing Ferdy Sambo from the Bhayangkara Corps. After completion, the file will be submitted to the Ministry of State Secretary (Kemensetneg).

"Yes, the administration is still in process," said Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo to reporters, Thursday, September 22.

Dedi explained that the administrative process carried out by the National Police's Human Resources Division (HR) for three days starting from the appeal decision submitted by Ferdy Sambo was rejected.

After that, the file will be submitted to the Ministry of State Secretariat, which is then issued by the Presidential Decree (Keppres) for the dismissal of Ferdy Sambo as a member of the National Police.

The mechanism for dismissal by the President is as stated in the Presidential Decree of the Republic of Indonesia Number 70 of 2002 concerning Organizations and Work Procedures of the Indonesian National Police.

In Article 29 point one, it is stated that the appointment and dismissal of officials in the positions and ranks of two-star and above-star PATI or those included in the scope of echelon IA and IB positions are determined by the National Police Chief's Decree after being consulted with the President.

"From human resources, it will be directed to the State Secretariat. The State Secretariat will immediately get the Presidential Decree and we will submit it to the violators," said Dedi.

Ferdy Sambo was decided to dismiss him as a member of the Bhayangkara Corps. The decision was based on the results of the appeal ethics trial.

The National Police rejected the appeal from the alleged violator Ferdy Sambo. Thus, Sambo was officially dismissed with disrespect (PTDH).

The rejection of this appeal also means strengthening or confirming the results of the previous KKEP trial with the PTDH decision.

Ferdy Sambo is a suspect in the premeditated murder case of Brigadier Nofriansyah Yosua Hutabarat or Brigadier J. In this case, he is suspected of Article 340 subsidiary Article 338 in conjunction with Article 55 and Article 56 of the Criminal Code which carries a maximum sentence of death or imprisonment for life or a maximum of 20 years.

Then, he is also a suspect in obstruction of justice. He obstructed the investigation of Brigadier J.

Thus, Sambo was charged with Article 49 in conjunction with Article 33 and/or Article 48 Paragraph (1) in conjunction with Article 32 Paragraph (1) of the Law on Information and Electronic Transactions (ITE) and Article 221 Paragraph (1) 2 and/or 233 of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 55 of the Criminal Code and or Article 56 of the Criminal Code.
