Mamuju KPU Serves Political Parties For 24 Hours Consultation

WEST SULAWESI - The General Election Commission (KPU) of Mamuju Regency has prepared 24-hour services for political party consultations at the 2024 election administration verification stage.

"The Mamuju KPU has held a coordination meeting for the repair and submission of the required documents for political parties participating in the 2024 Election," said Mamuju KPU chairman Hamdan Damkang in Mamuju, West Sulawesi (Sulbar), quoted from Antara, Tuesday, September 21.

He said the coordination meeting was a follow-up to the RI KPU's instructions regarding the administrative verification of political parties participating in the 2024 General Election.

"This coordination meeting aims to build a mutual understanding on technical guidelines (juknis) from the KPU RI because there have been several changes to the technical guidelines, starting from the stage date, related to the verification of political parties," he said.

Therefore, he said, the Mamuju KPU opened a 24-hour service if there were things that political parties did not understand in the administrative verification of political parties as candidates for the 2024 General Election.

"If there are rules that are not understood, please consult so that there are no problems and violations in the ongoing verification of political party administration," he added.

The chairman of the KPU for the Province of West Sulawesi, Rustang, also said that the rules that need to be considered by political parties in the administrative verification stage are the membership list, KTA, and KTP or KK, and the list of political parties' membership, because there is no double potential.

"The management of political parties must be careful in this administrative verification, so that political parties that have not met the requirements (BMS) can become eligible (MS)," he said.

He requested that if there are political party administrators who are duplicated with other parties, the day on which it is carried out must be clarified so that improvements can be made.
