Locked Up For A Week And Drugged With Alcohol Into Assault: 12-year-old Girl Manages To Escape, Helps Police Find Two Bodies

JAKARTA - This 12-year-old girl, who managed to escape from captivity with resistance, was brave enough to help the police find the bodies of her mother and sister.

The victim, whose name has been withheld, previously endured a week of horrific confinement, tied to a bedpost, drugged with alcohol, and assaulted.

However, thanks to her tenacity, she managed to fight the captor and then escape, even though she had to give up his braces when facing the prisoner, reported Sputnik News on August 4th.

She managed to escape from the mobile home where she lived with her mother and sister. Tallapoosa County Sheriff Jimmy Abbett said authorities were alerted Monday morning when a driver saw a 12-year-old girl walking along County Road 34 in Dadeville and called 911.

Officials said they entered the house and found the bodies of the young girl's mother and sister. According to court records, the mother had been smothered to death with a pillow in late July, and the young girl's sister was beaten to death the same day. She is under 14 years old.

It didn't take long for the authorities to arrest José Paulino Pascual-Reyes (37) on charges of kidnapping in the first degree and premeditated murder.

Pascual-Reyes made his first court appearance on Wednesday. According to Kevin Hall, assistant district attorney, he is being held without bail because of the gravity of the charges and because prosecutors viewed him as an escape risk.

He is known to be the girlfriend of the victim's mother and has been living in the house where the body was found since February. He works at a construction site in Auburn, Alabama. An investigation is being carried out by the FBI, local authorities, and the Department of Homeland Security.

Local officials also praised the bravery and war of the 12-year-old girl who helped to solve this case. "She's a hero. She's safe and we want to keep her that way", Sheriff Abbet said of the girl, who received immediate medical attention and state protection.
