The Ministry Of PUPR Builds 114 Permanent Residential Residents For Amurang Abrasion Victims

MANADO - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) will soon build around 114 permanent housing units for residents who have lost their homes due to the abrasion of Amurang Beach, South Minahasa Regency, North Sulawesi (North Sulawesi) in mid-July.

"So, there are 114 permanent housing units that will be built and these have been submitted to the PUPR Ministry," said Head of the Sulawesi I Housing Provision Agency (BP2P), Recky Walter Lahope in Manado as reported by ANTARA, Monday, August 1.

The number of houses to be built, he said, was in accordance with the data collection conducted jointly with the South Minahasa Regency Government.

"There is no certainty about how much of the budget allocated for the construction of permanent housing will be, we will convey it later. The construction of permanent housing is just waiting for instructions from the Ministry of PUPR to be allocated in 2023," he said.

The construction of permanent housing, he continued, will begin with an early auction process, so that at the beginning of the year the construction of permanent housing has begun.

There are 30 units whose construction will be accelerated so that they can be immediately occupied by people who have lost their homes due to abrasion. "This permanent residence will be occupied by people who are currently living in temporary housing," he said.

He said this type of permanent residence is in accordance with the national prototype, namely type 36 with two rooms and tiled floors.

In mid-July, coastal abrasion hit the coast of Amurang, in addition to sweeping people's houses, tourist areas, other facilities, such as roads and bridges, also collapsed.

The relevant ministries and institutions, the provincial government, the district government took emergency steps to deal with the residents of Uwuran and Bitung I Villages who were affected by the natural disaster.
