Police Investigate Cause Of Death Of Australian Caucasian Who Fell From 4th Floor Hotel In Kuta

The hotel where an Australian Caucasian died fell from the 4th floor/DOK Public Relations of the Denpasar Police

BADUNG - Kuta Police, Bali, is still investigating the death of an Australian citizen with the initials DSJ. He fell from the 4th floor of The Haven hotel, Seminyak, Kuta.

"We haven't confirmed (the cause), because it's still being investigated. We have to collect evidence as well, and we're just taking witness statements and other related evidence", said Kuta Police Chief, Commissioner Orpa Takalapeta, Thursday, July 21.

"If he commits suicide, we can't be sure yet. We need to ask the witness whether he is right or what", he added.

At the time of the incident, the Caucasian was alone in the room. Regarding the commotion heard by the witness, the police are still investigating. A bottle of alcoholic drink was also found at the location.

"We have to check on CCTV because in fact there was no one at that time. Maybe he was making noise on his cellphone because the employees didn't see anyone", he continued.

This Australian Caucasian called the police and came to Bali with three people including his wife. At the time of the incident, the three people were outside the hotel.

"We have not been able to take information because they only arrived at half past one. Because they left at that time and did not know what was happening on the spot. They just found out there was an incident (while at the hotel) and could not be questioned because of shock", said Commissioner Orpa.

The Australian Caucasian's body has been taken to Sanglah Hospital, Denpasar. According to the police, the autopsy is waiting for the family's request.
