Citayam Fashion Week And SCBD Are Cool, But...

JAKARTA - The DKI Culture Service (Disbud) assesses that the impromptu fashion show event for young people known as "Sudirman Citayam Bojonggede Depok" (SCBD) needs guidance to be more focused.

"Providing education, providing an understanding that the third room must be made in such a way that they are comfortable," said Head of the DKI Culture Office Iwan Henry Wardhana in Jakarta, Tuesday, July 19.

The reason, he said, was that the Dukuh Atas area or the one near Sudirman BNI City Station was a traffic area with lots of vehicles passing by.

"Needs to be discussed by many parties because the first is related to traffic," he said.

He considered that the fashion show, known as "Citayam Fashion Week" was a new phenomenon from the activities of the younger generation in developing artistic expression.

For that, he did not want the activities of the expression of the young man to be punished.

"Part of the expression, the soul, let them open themselves to the existing conditions," he said.

Previously, the Dukuh Atas area in Central Jakarta was a destination for young people from Jakarta's buffer zones such as those from Citayam, Depok and Bogor.

Their presence in the "SCBD" area is increasingly crowded on weekends.

Access to transportation, namely via electric rail to Jakarta, facilitates their traffic in the heart of Jakarta.

Their actions in gathering and holding impromptu fashion shows are increasingly widely known, especially among young people after going viral on social media.
