JAYAPURA - The joint SAR team using the Indonesian Air Force's Caracal helicopter evacuated eight passengers and the pilot of the Susi Air Pilatus Porter PC-6 aircraft with flight number PK-BVM who had an accident on the flight from Duma to Timika.

As reported by Antara, Thursday, June 23, the Commander of the Timika Air Base, Lt. Col. Inf. Slamet Suhartono, said that eight people were evacuated from the location where the Susi Air plane had an accident.

The names of the evacuated passengers are not yet known because we focus on evacuating the injured victims.

Seven of the eight people evacuated were injured, including pilot Doyle Peter, who was seriously injured, with a broken leg.

All of them have been evacuated to Timika, said Lieutenant Colonel (P) Slamet, who admitted that he went to the location of the fateful plane.
