KUPANG - East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Governor, Viktor Bungtilu Laiskodat, said the case of stunting in children is a serious problem in the development of the health sector faced by the NTT Provincial Government.

"The problem of stunting is a serious problem faced by the provincial government in the development of the health sector so that it takes the support of all parties to work together to overcome stunting in children who are still being found", said the Governor of NTT, Viktor Bungtilu Laiskodat in Alor.

During a visit to Alor Regency, Viktor Laiskodat visited the Southwest Alor Police Sector Headquarters.

Governor Viktor Laiskodat reviewed the Innovation activities initiated by the Southwest Alor Police Chief, Iptu Jeane Skala, who is a foster parent who has stunted children and has a reading corner for children who have stunting.

According to him, in realizing the golden generation in 2045, overcoming stunting in children must be a common problem that must be done collaboratively.

According to him, the handling of stunting cannot only be handled by the government but the support of all parties such as the community, religious leaders, and community leaders as well as all relevant agencies must collaborate in overcoming stunting according to their respective roles.

"In the Health Sector, we face a serious problem, namely maternal and child mortality, but to realize a golden generation in 2045, stunting is also a serious problem and has a bad impact on us in East Nusa Tenggara", said the governor.

NTT continued, Viktor is currently at 22 percent nationally, so it is hoped that the handling of stunting in East Nusa Tenggara must be done collaboratively so that stunting cases can go down.
