Police Investigate Case Of Broken Window In Palangka Raya Detention Center

PALANGKA RAYA - The Resort Police of Palangka Raya City, Central Kalimantan, investigated the case of breaking the window glass in the front of the Office of the Class IIA Detention Center in Palangka Raya City.

Head of Criminal Investigation Unit for Palangka Raya Police, Commissioner of Police Ronny M. Nababan in Palangka Raya, Monday 11 April, confirmed that the case occurred at the Class IIA Detention Center in Palangka Raya City on Tjilik Riwut Street Kilometer 5, Palangka Raya City.

"We have handled this case, and members of the Satreskrim are conducting an investigation into the perpetrator who broke the window of the local detention center that occurred this afternoon," he said, quoted by Antara.

To find out the window breaker of the Class IIA Palangka Raya Detention Center office, his party has also conducted a crime scene (TKP).

Members of the local police also questioned a number of prison staff and saw CCTV outside the prison office.

"From the Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) footage at the location, it can be seen that a Honda Sonic motorbike rider, who initially kicked the prison entrance, suddenly broke the window glass," he said.

After breaking the glass, said the police officer, the perpetrator immediately left the detention center using his vehicle.

In fact, the police are still looking for the intention of the perpetrator to break the glass, thereby making local employees feel terrorized. The case has been reported to the Palangka Raya Police Headquarters.

"Essentially, this case is being investigated, then we are still finding out what the modus operandi of the perpetrators was to dare to commit such a disgraceful act," he said.

Ronny also appealed to the entire community to increase vigilance against criminal acts in local jurisdictions, especially in the month of Ramadan.

"If the public sees a crime, immediately report it to the nearest police station so that it can be followed up immediately and the perpetrators can be arrested," he said.
