After Decided Not To Violate Ethics, Will The Chairperson Of The DPRD Hold A Formula E Interpellation Plenary Again?

JAKARTA - The Honorary Board (BK) of the DKI Jakarta Regional Representative Council (DPRD) decided that the Chairman of the DKI DPRD, Prasetyo Edi Marsudi, did not violate ethics when holding a plenary meeting to determine the interpellation rights of Formula E a few months ago.

Then, there was an impetus for Prasetyo, who is also the Chairman of the DPRD Deliberative Body (Bamus) to hold another meeting to determine the schedule for the interpellation plenary meeting.

Currently, the process of interpellation rights proposed by PDIP and PSI is still pending. The DPRD leadership has not yet scheduled another interpellation. Gilbert Simanjuntak, a member of the PDIP faction of the DPRD DKI, sees that this process must be continued.

"Looking at the progress of the implementation of Formula E so far, it is very important to continue the interpellation which is still postponed. Currently there are no more reasons for the 7 factions to refuse the interpellation, so that everything is clear. It's just a matter of whether you want to side with the people or not," said Gilbert on Thursday, April 7.

Then, how does Prasetyo respond to the BK's decision on interpellation that does not violate ethics in Regional Regulation Number 1 of 2020 concerning the Order of the DKI DPRD?

Prasetyo said that the interpellation plenary meeting on September 28, 2021 had not yet ended. At that time, he only did a suspension, which means it can be done again at any time. However, Prasetyo has not revealed when he will reschedule the Formula E interpellation.

The PDI-P Party politician asked DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan not to be paranoid about attending the DPRD interpellation plenary meeting. This is because interpellation is the function and authority of the council to ask questions related to the governor's policy which is considered unreasonable.

"I just want to ask why I'm parno. Anies has a very good wording ability. I'm sure Anies can answer all questions," said Prasetyo.

Thus, Prasetyo views that the Governor should explain the Formula E event to the public. Considering that the Regional Budget (APBD) that has been disbursed is quite fantastic, reaching IDR 560 billion for the payment of a commitment fee to Formula E Operation (FEO).

"Then how much is the exact budget that has been disbursed from the APBD for Formula E? The Council wants to know," he added.
