Youth Group Brawl In Depok: Blindly Stabs Residents, 3 People Are Seriously Injured

DEPOK - Police officers from the Depok Metro Police are still investigating the youth group brawl on Siwagandu street near Perum Cagar Alam 2 RT.01/17, Pancoranmas, Depok, which occurred on Sunday 6, March, at dawn.

As a result of this action, three residents became the target of brutal acts of brawlers who blindly attacked them wildly with sharp weapons.

The three victims who suffered stab wounds, namely Imam Sudiro Swasono (27), lacerations to the back, Sumarto (34) online motorcycle taxis, had lacerations at the base of the neck, back of the head and left arm, and Ihwan Ampulembang (44) with lacerations on the back and legs.

"Just had an intravenous drip and had surgery for stitches. Meanwhile, the other two victims whom I didn't know had severe stab wounds to their bodies," he told reporters after being confirmed by telephone.

Imam testified that one of the perpetrators, who was still a teenager, had shouted as if he was someone who was being sought.

"The perpetrator said 'this is what I'm looking for', after that without any preparation, from behind one of the perpetrators directly slashed a sharp weapon on the back after which the residents immediately helped. Incidentally, there was a member of Pokdarkamtibmas (Community Safety and Order Awareness Group), taken to the hospital," explained Imam.

"After being taken to the hospital, I did not know that there were two other victims who were also residents who were seriously injured by the perpetrators. I hope the police can immediately arrest the perpetrators so they don't make them restless and fall victim again," he said.

Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Depok Metro Police, Grand Commissioner Adjutant Yogen Heroes Baruno said that until now his party had not been able to determine the motive for the brawl between groups to the point of indiscriminately attacking residents and causing injuries.

"We are still investigating the motive. We have asked a number of witnesses, including CCTV evidence around the location," Yogen said when confirmed by reporters, Monday, March 7.
