SpaceX Breaks Record For Most Launches In 2024
JAKARTA SpaceX managed to break the record that has been targeted since last year, which is the most launches of the year. This record shows that SpaceX wants to be at the forefront of the satellite launch industry.
Last year, Elon Musk's private company only launched 98 orbital missions, while this year SpaceX managed to reach 131 launches. Of the total orbital missions, 128 of them took off using a Falcon 9 rocket.
SpaceX also managed to launch Starship four times this year, namely in March, June, October and November. Despite several launches facing challenges, SpaceX was able to make progress at the last three Starship launches.
This progress is not only important for SpaceX as a global launch service provider, even Indonesia also uses services from the company. NASA, which continues to partner with SpaceX, continues to monitor the company's progress.

Starship is important for NASA because this spacecraft will be used to land astronauts on the Moon via the Artemis 3 mission. According to the current schedule, the aircraft will land on the Moon in mid-2027.
Not only supporting human launches to the Moon, but SpaceX also has a very large goal of delivering humans to Mars and creating settlements there. The company will probably continue to work with NASA to realize its idea.
SpaceX may be getting more launches next year thanks to Starship's near launch time. The space company will also continue to launch the Starlink satellite into orbit, moreover they already provide Direct to Cell services.
