Like A Father, The Moment Haru Minister Of Karding Swept Away The Head Of Migrant Workers' Children In East Lombok

JAKARTA - Indonesian Migrant Worker Protection Minister (P2MI) Abdul Kadir Karding took the time to meet with a number of Indonesian migrant workers during a series of working visits to East Lombok, NTB.

One of the children met was Ananda Yus who now lives with his grandmother in North Jenggik, East Lombok. Quoted from Abdul Kadir Karding's official Instagram @abdulkadirkarding, Ananda Yus said his parents were working in Malaysia.

"How many years have you been?" asked Minister Karding to Ananda Yus about when his parents left to work in Malaysia.

"11 years," said Ananda Yus. He said his parents had never returned to see him.

Like a father to his son, Minister Karding then wipes Ananda Yus's head gently. Lower whispers of encouraging sentences directly to Ananda Yus.

In the caption, Minister Karding said there were sacrifices from migrant workers who went to work abroad.

"Behind the struggle of Indonesian Migrant Workers who migrated for the sake of their families, there were children who had to grow up without the presence of their parents,"

"This story makes us realize how great their sacrifice is, not only PMIs, but also the children they left behind. Even though it is far away, love and hope must still be present, it becomes a reinforcement for those who wait with full longing," Karding wrote in the caption.
