Caught By Residents During Drug Transactions, Youths With Sickles In Cengkareng Hide In Culverts To Avoid Crowd Clashes
JAKARTA - A man with the initials RH (28) was secured by the West Jakarta Metro Police Precise Pioneer Patrol Team while hiding in a sewer, a bridge next to the ABC factory, Jalan Raya Daan Mogot, Kedaung Kaliangke, Cengkareng, West Jakarta.
The perpetrator hid in the culverts for fear of being attacked by the masses because he was caught transacting drugs. However, the masses thought that the perpetrator was one of the gang of robbers caught in action.
Head of Samapta West Jakarta Metro Police AKBP M Hari Agung Julianto, his members arrested the perpetrator while conducting regional patrols and received reports from the public regarding the incident.
"Information we received from local residents, the perpetrator was initially suspected of being the perpetrator of the robbery who when carrying out the action was caught by the residents. The perpetrators allegedly fled. This perpetrator was left when he was about to be attacked by local residents," he said when confirmed by VOI, Monday, November 20.
AKBP Agung explained, thanks to the alertness of the officers, the perpetrator was arrested and rescued from the tantrums of the masses.
"A sickle belonging to the perpetrator was confiscated," he said.

Furthermore, the perpetrator was arrested by members of the West Jakarta Metro Police Precision Pioneer Patrol Team and taken to the Cengkareng Police.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Cengkareng Police, Kompol Hasoloan Situmorang, added that the perpetrator RH was known to be a resident of Kembangan, West Jakarta.
"After an investigation and interrogation was carried out, the perpetrator RH was not the perpetrator of the robbery, but the drug abuse allegedly wanted to transact," he said.
The perpetrator was caught and chased by the police Opsnal Team. Then the perpetrator avoided the arrest and he hid in the sewers of the bridge.
The case is still being handled by the Cengkareng Police.
