Volvo Officially Presents Its First Electricity MPV, EM90
JAKARTA - Volvo strengthened its steps in welcoming the electrification market entirely by presenting EM90, the first premium van-type EV ever introduced by the manufacturer.
EM90 has again strengthened its work for the Swedish brand in presenting more EVs in the future. The presence of this model is not without reason, the MPV segment has been gaining high popularity over the past few years, especially in the Asian region.
"This allows us to take advantage of new market demand that we have never explored before and expand the attractiveness of the Volvo brand to more people," said Jim Rowan, Chief Executive of Volvo Cars, on the company's official website, Sunday, November 12.
Volvo EM90 took inspiration from manufacturer-owned multipurpose vehicles, namely Duett, which was marketed in 1953 for the US and Scandinavian markets. Despite taking inspirational language from the model, the manufacturer presents EM90 in futuristic and minimalist design language.
From the outside, the MPV has a large size with an LED DRL light on the front with a large chrome grILL and a very pronounced manufacturer emblem. Meanwhile, the back light is equipped with a vertically installed LED light on the pillar with a striking horizontal LED line.
Moving to the inside, Volvo EM90 is designed to offer maximum comfort with the distinctive silence of electric cars. This Swedish company designed the interior as best it could to reduce user stress.
The interior of this car is inspired by Scandinavian living room combined with Asian elements that reflect the stunning natural beauty, so that it will be liked by customers. The cabin section offers a wide width and space with various luxurious touches, such as a luxurious lounge seat, a large panoramic sunset, and Scandinavian design details that create unmatched comfort.
The MPV is equipped with six seats that provide zones and private space for everyone. This includes various entertainment adjustments and comfort that can be personalized through elegant handwear and touchscreens.
Then, in the second row includes special lounge seats that offer the various facilities that passengers want, ranging from massage functions, individual ventilation and heating options, to integrated tables and cups. Meanwhile, the third row can be easily accessed through sliding backdoors and adjustable second row seats.
The panoramic Sunroof, which includes the entire cabin, is equipped with curtains and surrounding lighting settings, creating a typical Scandinavian atmosphere. From lighting that brings back famous northern light to a theme reminiscent of the Swedish forest and mid-summer dawn.
