Each Presidential And Vice Presidential Candidates For The 2024 Election Escorted By 74 Special Security Personnel For The Police

The General Election Commission (KPU) said that each presidential and vice-presidential candidate in the 2024 General Election of the three pairs that have been determined by the KPU today will be escorted by two teams consisting of 74 Polri personnel.

"The KPU has submitted the handover of the Pam Capres and Vice Presidential Candidates Task Force (the task force for securing and escorting presidential and vice presidential candidates), just before the press conference," said KPU Commissioner Mochammad Afifuddin at the KPU Jakarta Building, Monday 13 November.

Afif said the National Police deployed 444 of its members along with the completeness of supporters as the Pam Capres and Vice Presidential Candidate Task Force in the 2024 General Election.

This provision is in accordance with Presidential Regulation (Perpres) No. 85 of 2018 concerning Security and Guards of Presidential Candidates and Vice Presidential Candidates in the Implementation of General Elections.

"A, Pam Capres Anies Baswedan totaling 74 personnel, 2 teams. B, Pam Capres Ganjar Pranowo totaling 74 personnel, 2 teams. C, Pam Capres Prabowo Subianto totaling 74 personnel, 2 teams. D, Pam Cawapres Muhaimin Iskandar totaling 74 personnel, 2 teams. E, Pam Cawapres Mahmud MD totaling 74 personnel, 2 teams. F, Pam Cawapres Gibran Rakabuming Raka totaling 74 personnel, 2 teams," said Afif.

He said the KPU had received the handover of the Pam Candidates Task Force and the 2024 Election Vice Presidential Candidate from the National Police in complete condition. Furthermore, the KPU will assign the Pam Capres-Cawapres Task Force in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

"Similarly, as additional information after the determination of presidential and vice-presidential candidates at the Indonesian KPU," said Affif.

The KPU has determined three pairs of presidential and vice presidential candidates for the 2024 election today, Monday 13 November. The three pairs of presidential and vice presidential candidates, namely Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar alias Cak Imin, Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD and Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka.

The Anies-Cak Imin pair was promoted by NasDem, PKB, PKS and the Ummat Party. Meanwhile, the Ganjar-Mahfud MD pair is supported by PDIP, PPP, Perindo and Hanura.

Meanwhile, the Prabowo-Gibran pair were promoted by Gerindra Golkar, PAN, Democrats, the United Nations, the Gelora Party, Garuda Party, and PSI.
