TANGERANG - Mayor of South Tangerang (Tangsel) Benyamin Davnie revealed that three people with monkeypox or monkeypox disease in his area have increased. Thus, the total monkeypox in South Tangerang is five cases.

From the addition of the three cases, he said, it was confirmed that the patient was infected with monkeypox under strict supervision by the nearest puskesmas officer. Meanwhile, the two patients who were first recorded as being exposed to monkeypox were better.

"What is certain is that first of all, they are already under strict medical supervision at the puskesmas that we assigned closest to. But the first two are in good condition," said Benjamin in Tangerang, Friday.

He said the three monkeypox patients suffered entirely from male groups with productive age. In addition, they were also exposed after interaction in the DKI Jakarta area.

"They are indeed the interaction of people who do work in Jakarta, so there is a spread in South Tangerang," he said.

He explained that the South Tangerang Health Office, through the Healthy Ngider Program, continues to socialize various threats of illness and socialization of Clean and Healthy Lifestyle (PHBS).

He also hopes that patients who are currently undergoing isolation will be disciplined to comply with medical advice and advice.

So that the spread of monkeypox does not continue to spread, his party urges South Tangerang residents to immediately conduct a health check at existing health care facilities if they find early symptoms of monkeypox.

"I hope that during isolation they comply with the advice of the medical team. Take the medicine, don't come into contact with other people until they are really declared healthy," he said.
