Jokowi's Political Drama, Left Behind By Old Friends But Must Go On To Win'Crown Prince'

Political observer Adi Prayitno assessed that President Joko Widodo's attitude was clear in the upcoming 2024 election. Even though old friends, PDIP and their ranks were left behind, Jokowi still had to move on to win his eldest son, Gibran Rakabuming Raka, who ran as a vice presidential candidate, paired with Prabowo Subianto.

This was said by Adi in response to Jokowi's statement about the political drama that was mentioned during the Golkar Anniversary yesterday. "For Jokowi, it will definitely go on. Everything has happened. Gibran has registered with the KPU side by side with Prabowo Subianto. For Jokowi, there is no longer looking back," said Adi, Tuesday, November 7. It is known that Gibran's advancement as Prabowo's vice presidential candidate was filled with political dramas. Starting from the controversial decision of the Constitutional Court, PDIP's anger because Gibran was nominated from the Golkar Party, to the dismissal of the Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court by the MKMK for ethical violations due to his nephew's'melossing' to become a vice presidential candidate.

However, Gibran has advanced as Prabowo Subianto's vice presidential candidate. As a person in power, said Adi, of course Jokowi will direct all resources to win the'men'. "Focus in the future to win Gibran with all existing resources. Especially those that are consistent in Jokowi's ranks. Meanwhile, different attitudes must be abandoned," explained Adi.

Therefore, the Director of Indonesian Political Parameters (PPI) assessed that Jokowi would continue even though old friends in the PDIP were inflamed. According to him, Jokowi's family relationship with the party that raised it was PDIP, now it's like fire in the husks. "No one has resigned, there is no communication. But it must be admitted that currently Jokowi is fighting his own supporters who have been putting up a body to defend Jokowi," said Adi.

According to Adi, Jokowi's relationship with 'old friends', such as the former Mayor of Solo, FX Rudi, PDIP figure Solo Seno Kusumoharjo, and other PDIP officials is not doing well. Adi said that the breakdown of their relationship did not benefit Jokowi.

Preceptually not in Jokowi's favor. Because they left Jokowi not only with a heartache, but by criticizing Jokowi," said Adi. "Even though Jokowi has now received a new friend from the new coalition, Jokowi has lost people who are loyal, it must be very detrimental," he concluded. Previously, PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto said his party was sad and hurt because President Jokowi had left him. In fact, PDIP has been loving and giving privileges to Jokowi and his family.

According to Hasto, many of his party's branches and branches do not believe in the political conditions that are currently taking place after the decision of the Constitutional Court which succeeded in smoothing the way of his eldest son, Gibran Rakabuming Raka, as a candidate for vice president (cawpares) accompanying Prabowo Subianto.

"We love and give huge privileges to President Jokowi and his family, but we are abandoned because there are other requests that have the potential to violate the prenatan of goodness and the constitution. At first we only prayed that this would not happen, but it turned out to be true," he said in a press release, Sunday, October 29.
