Supporting Student Education, Ganjar Encourages The Islamic Boarding School Law To Be Implemented Immediately

MUSI BANYUASIN - Ganjar Pranowo, the 2024 Indonesian presidential candidate (readpres) encourages Law No. 18 of 2019 concerning Islamic boarding schools to be implemented immediately.

This was conveyed by Ganjar while staying in touch at the Hidayatul Fadhola Islamic Boarding School, Walisongo Musi Banyuasin, South Sumatra, Monday, November 6.

According to Ganjar, the existence of Islamic boarding schools must be a function of education, as well as the function of da'wah and community empowerment.

"The law already exists, so it's just a matter of implementation. We exemplify several regions to make regional regulations, so we encourage each region to make a regional regulation so that the law can be implemented," he said.

With the passing of the law, Ganjar continued, it will make Ponpes much better. So, the government can immediately make technical instructions.

"It has been promulgated, then the technical instructions will be made immediately. This must have been awaited," he continued.

The former governor of Central Java for two periods also encouraged the Ministry of Religion to provide guidance to Islamic boarding schools in Indonesia.

"The Ministry of Religion must have administrative guidance and legalization standardization and so on so that it becomes a place of education. Islamic boarding schools have special characteristics and can accommodate more of our children so they can study public schools and boarding schools," he said.
