18 Out Of 4,943 Voice Boxes For The 2024 Election In Bengkulu Damaged, Central KPU Asked To Replace
The General Election Commission (KPU) of Bengkulu City found 18 of the 4,943 ballot boxes of the 2024 General Election were damaged.
Bengkulu City KPU Data and Information Planning Division Bambang Meiliansyah said this was known after his party sorted and folded ballot boxes.
"We have started to multiply ballot boxes, but from 4,948 ballot boxes we found 18 ballot boxes were damaged," he said in Bengkulu, Monday, November 6, which was confiscated by Antara.
With the discovery of the 18 ballot boxes, his party is currently immediately reporting to the central KPU so that the replacement ballot boxes are immediately sent to Bengkulu City.
Meanwhile, for the ballot booth, the Bengkulu City KPU is still carrying out the sorting process, this is done to ensure that all ballot booths can be used in the 2024 General Election.
"The ballot booth is currently under sort, while other logistics are still under booking," said Bambang.
Previously, the Bengkulu City KPU received 4,943 boxes of ballot boxes for the general election preparation in 2024 and the ballot boxes were immediately taken to the Bengkulu City KPU Logistics Warehouse.

In addition, related to logistical security, members of the police and members also established posts at the KPU and Bawaslu Offices in Bengkulu City to provide a sense of security ahead of the 2024 General Election process.
Then the Bengkulu City Police (Polresta) alerted 20 personnel to maintain security consisting of 10 members at the KPU Office and 10 people at the Bawaslu Office.
The personnel were alerted to ensure the safety and comfort of Bengkulu City KPU and Bawaslu members in carrying out their duties in carrying out all stages of the 2024 General Election.
