Acting Governor Of DKI: The DKJ Law Is Designed To Make Investment Easier
Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono said the provincial government and the Ministry of Home Affairs are discussing the establishment of the Jakarta Special Region Law (UUDKJ) which is considered to facilitate investment.
"Ladies and gentlemen, DKI Jakarta together with the Minister of Home Affairs are discussing, and are currently forming, in the process at the DPRD and DPR RI related to the Jakarta Special Region Law," Heru said at the Jakarta Investment Award 2023 event reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, October 31.
He explained that DKI Jakarta has a contribution of 16.64 percent to Indonesia's gross domestic product (GDP). Heru assessed that the process of moving IKN from Jakarta provides a big challenge in this regard.
"God willing, the Jakarta Special Law will also provide convenience for ladies and gentlemen to invest in Jakarta. We have seen these conveniences and it is our appreciation, Mr. Minister, to the ranks of investment ministers so that of course we support this facility from the DKI Regional Government," continued Heru.
The Acting Governor expressed his gratitude for DKI's achievements in terms of investment, which was able to beat West Java in the third quarter of 2023.
"Alhamdulillah, this year DKI is number one compared to West Java," he said.
Heru appreciates investors who have always been loyal to investing and doing business in DKI Jakarta.
