6 Suspects Of Beating Up Silat Members In Mojokerto Arrested By Police
MOJOKERTO - Mojokerto City Police Officer, East Java, arrested six suspects suspected of being the perpetrators of the beatings and mistreatment of members of the silat college.
Deputy Chief of Police Mojokerto Kota Kompol Supriyono said the beating and persecution took place in the early hours of Monday (30/10) on Jalan Clangap, Mlirip Village, Jetis District, Mojokerto Regency.
"The incident occurred after a demonstration in Mojosari. The beatings were carried out by six suspects, four of whom were students and two adults each with the initials MH, WL, FR, AJ, AB, YN," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, October 31.
This case was revealed after a report from the victim and it did not take long for the Satreskrim Polresta Mojokerto to reveal the whereabouts of the alleged perpetrator.
"Officers managed to reveal the whereabouts of the alleged perpetrators and at the same time arrested six people in the same place as Clangap Hamlet, Mlirip Village, Jetis District, Mojokerto Regency," he said.
For the disclosure of the case, officers confiscated several pieces of evidence from the suspect, namely four motorbikes, 14 broken stones, one flip-flops, three mobile phones, a jacket and also a hammer used by the suspects to launch their action.

"The alleged perpetrators were entangled in Article 170 of the Criminal Code and knew Article 351 of the Criminal Code regarding beatings and/or persecution," he said.
He appealed to the public to report to the nearest police officer if they found out there were things that were considered suspicious.
"Immediately report to the nearest police officer so that the officers can immediately follow up," he said.
