Supported By Livin And Kopra, Bank Mandiri DPK Grows 6.6 Percent

JAKARTA - PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk (BMRI) recorded a total third party fund (DPK) on a consolidated basis grew positively 6.6 percent yoy from IDR 1,361.3 trillion in September 2022 to IDR 1,451.7 trillion at the end of September 2023.

This growth was supported by low-cost funds or current account and saving accounts (CASA). Bank Mandiri's total low-cost funds, namely Tabungan and Giro, managed to reach IDR 1,070 trillion, an increase of 12.8 percent yoy.

Bank Mandiri President Director Darmawan Junaidi said the growth in the number of Livin' and Kopra super app customers was the support of the bank's DPK growth operations.

In terms of the number of users, Livin' by Mandiri continues to record an increase of 55 percent yoy in September 2023 to 21 million active users.

Thanks to the ongoing innovation, Livin' by Mandiri has been able to manage more than 2.02 billion transactions year to date by end of September 2023, up 46 percent compared to the previous year.

As for the Wholesale Digital Super Platform Kopra by Mandiri service, it has managed to manage Rp13,950 trillion transactions as of September 2023 or grew 1.3 times since its release in October 2021. The growth of Kopra by Mandiri users, which is now also present in the mobile app version, has also increased 132 percent yoy to 158 thousand more users.

"The presence of Livin' and Kopra by Mandiri also contributed to the growth of third party funds (DPK), especially significant low-cost funds. This proves that the digital transformation carried out by Bank Mandiri has succeeded in contributing significantly to financial performance with the trend that continues to improve," said Darmawa, quoted on Tuesday, October 31.

The ratio of low-cost funds or CASA Ratio Bank Mandiri practically rose to 73.73 percent on a consolidated basis and 78.8 percent on a bank only basis in September 2023. "It improves when compared to the same period the previous year which was 69.73 percent respectively on a consolidated basis and 73.2 percent on a bank only basis," Darmawan explained.

Darmawan further added that Bank Mandiri's commitment to driving digitalization has also recorded significant growth. One of them, the Super App Livin' by Mandiri, which is the company's mainstay in meeting the needs of financial transactions and non-financial retail customers, has been downloaded more than 32 million times since its launch.

It did not stop there, Bank Mandiri's digital transformation was also carried out by releasing the Livin' Merchant application to digitize payment transactions at micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs). Since its launch on June 12, 2023, Livin' Merchants have been downloaded by more than 1.5 million MSMEs until October 19, 2023.

According to Darmawan, this feature has made it easier for MSME actors to increase their business potential.
