BMW Presents The Latest S 1000 XR With Improved Features

JAKARTA - Recently, BMW Motorrad introduced the latest S 1000 XR with several improved aspects capable of accommodating long-distance travel. This consists of an increase in engine power, design refinement, and the expansion of standard features.

Combining high performance on rural roads and racing tracks, the German manufacturer redesigned the sports motorcycle seat by offering an additional 10 mm of seating height, increasing the sense of security for motorists with wider seats.

The increase in ergonomics makes it easier for motorists to maneuver with the S 1000 XR on highways or on racing tracks, and provides even better control. There are a total of three different seats in this new variant.

Reporting from the company's official website, Jum'at, October 27, this motorbike gets several redesigned elements, such as the back equipped with side panels and air entry channels inspired by racing motorbikes, thus providing a more dynamic look.

In addition, the trim radiator now has a textured surface, and the previously black sepabor is now painted as colored as a body. However, the updates presented did not stop there.

The new S 1000 XR comes with a list of standard equipment that is upgraded with the Headlight Pro providing additional security during night driving with adaptive turns of lights. Drivers benefit from increasing street lighting at corners. The package also includes Daytime Running Lights (DRL) for better vehicle recognition during the day.

Keyless Ride and battery with a capacity of 12 Ah are now standard features. In addition, the new BMW S 1000 XR is equipped with a USB charging option as a standard.

Other updates include the availability of the E-Call feature in the US, an option to complete the S 1000 XR with an optional M GPS Laptrigger. Lunar M Carbon as a new optional addition or as BMW's original accessory.

Supporting vehicle performance, the manufacturer provides the motor with the same fresh 4-cylinder engine as the S 1000 RR, which is capable of providing smooth and powered torque distribution.

According to BMW, the power from the motor increased 5 dk to 170 dk at 11,000 rpm and with a maximum torque of 114 Nm at 9,250 rpm.

The bike also provides the latest color options consisting of Blackstorm Metallic, Gravity Blue Metallic, and Lightwhite Solid Paint colors.
