Wartawati's Cellphone Was Picked Up When Covering Prabowo At The KPU
Nadia (27), a journalist from the Antara National News Agency, became a victim of pickpocketing while covering the registration of presidential and vice presidential candidates in front of the Indonesian General Elections Commission (KPU) office, Jalan Imam Bonjol, Menteng District, Central Jakarta. According to the victim, the perpetrator was alone with the characteristics of a middle-aged man.
"Yes, that's right. Earlier I was in front of the KPU. The incident when I recorded Pak Prabowo coming out, then when I wanted to take my cellphone in my bag it was gone," Nadia told VOI on Jalan Imam Bonjol, Menteng, Central Jakarta, Wednesday, October 25.
According to Nadia, the pickpocketing incident happened very quickly. He has two cellphones for news coverage. The first cellphone was held by him to record coverage of Prabowo's presidential candidate activities.
"I brought two cellphones. I put the left bag (pants), the other cellphone was held (for coverage). The black Samsung A20 S cellphone was missing," he said.
At the time of the incident, he saw the movements of a suspicious middle-aged man in front of him.
"I had something to suspect. So there were gentlemen, so he (shifted position) sideways to my body. The perpetrator then took my cellphone," he said.

Nadia had tried to find the whereabouts of her cellphone by tracking it using Google.
"I was looking for using Google, the perpetrator was tracked down on Jalan Imam Bonjol. After I went to it, it turned out that he moved to Suropati Park. But at 12.30 WIB, the cellphone was turned off and it didn't connect anymore," he said.
Nadia said that she had blocked the account number stored on the cellphone. However, he has not reported the incident that happened to him to the Menteng Police Headquarters.
"He hasn't reported it to the police station yet, he's lazy to take care of it," he regretted.
