Jambi Police Will IOF Committee Regarding Offroad Participating Cars Hit Spectators
JAMBI - Police confirmed that they would conduct an examination of the committee after the incident of an off-road participant car in the context of the Indonesia Off-Road Federation) IOFExpoJambi which was held in the Kebon Sembilan area, Sungai Gelam District, Muaro Jambi Regency.
Muaro Jambi Police Chief AKBP Muharman Arta said his party was continuing the legal process for the incident.
"The case is still being processed by law. We are still investigating the incident," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, October 16.
He said that if it was proven that there was a criminal element and sufficient evidence, there would be a suspect and the legal process would be followed up.
His party will schedule in advance to conduct an examination of the committee. Currently, the police direct the committee to take care of and assist the victims first.

Previously, the Jambi Regional Police had confirmed that all of the victims' medical expenses in the Jambi Offroad Expo incident were borne by the organizers, namely the Jambi IOF.
The Head of Sub-Division of Public Information for Public Relations of the Jambi Police, Kompol Mas Edy, said that the police were currently investigating the incident and checking directly at the crime scene.
"For further information, we will inform you later, the police are currently looking for and asking for information from witnesses and the competition committee," he said.
Edy conveyed that the number of victims of the Indonesia Offroad Federation (IOF) Expo Jambi activity amounted to 14 people.
For information, the Offroad accident that hit the audience was at the Offroad field of RT 13 Kebun IX Kecamatan Village, Sungai Gelam, Muaro Jambi Regency on Sunday (15/10).
A total of eight victims are known to be hospitalized, while others are outpatient.
