CPO Price In South Sumatra Drops By IDR 136 To IDR 10,619 Per Kilogram
PALEMBANG - The South Sumatra Province (Sumsel) Fresh Fruit Bunch (FFB) Price Formulation Team has set the price of crude palm oil (CPO) for purchase until October 30, 2023 to decrease by IDR 136 to IDR 10,619 from the previous period of IDR 10,755 per kilogram.
Agricultural Infrastructure and Facilities (PSP) Analyst, Associate Expert at the South Sumatra Province Plantation Service, Rudi Aprian, said that the decline was influenced by the reduced amount of export demand, and the amount of production tended to still be abundant.
"This also has an impact on the price of palm FFB for planting ages of 10-20 years decreasing by IDR 33.26 per kilogram to IDR 2,311 compared to the previous period which was IDR 2,344 per kilogram," he said, quoted from ANTARA, Thursday, October 12.
Meanwhile, the price of palm kernel or core price in this period was IDR 4,994 per kilogram with a K Index of 90.7 percent.
Rudi appealed to farmers to continue to protect their gardens from various potential fires, considering that we are currently entering a dry period with hotter weather.
"The method is to keep cleaning the garden and controlling the garden for potential sparks. Avoid burning rubbish in areas adjacent to the garden," he said.
Meanwhile, the price of FFB in South Sumatra for a planting age of four years is IDR 2,070 per kilogram, a planting age of five years is IDR 2,117 per kilogram, a planting age of six years is IDR 2,158 per kilogram, and a planting age of seven years is IDR 2,196 per kilogram.
