Today's BTS Corruption Session, Prosecutors Present Crown Witness Johnny G Plate

JAKARTA - The Public Prosecutor (JPU) will present a crown witness in the follow-up trial of the alleged corruption base transceiver station (BTS) 4G, today, Tuesday, October 3.

The crown witness will provide information for the defendants Johnny Gerard Plate, Anang Achmad Latif, and Yohan Suryanto at the Central Jakarta District Court.

The trial is planned to be held in the Prof. Dr. H. Muhammad Hatta Ali at around 10.00 WIB.

However, it has not been confirmed regarding the name of the crown witness which will be presented to provide information.

Possibly, the crown witness included the President Director of PT Mora Telematika Indonesia, Galumbang Menak Simanjuntak; Commissioner of PT Solitech Media Sinergy, Irwan Hermawan; and Account Director of Integrated Account Department of PT Huawei Tech Investment, Mukti Ali.

Then, the Director of PT Multimedia Berdikari Sejahtera, Windi Purnama, and the President Director of PT Basar Utama Prima, Yusrizki Muliawan.

In this case, former Kominfo Minister Johnny G. Plate was charged with alleged corruption in the provision of 4G BTS infrastructure and supporting infrastructure for BAKTI Kominfo for the 2020-2022 period which cost the state finances Rp8,032,084,133,795.51.

In the indictment, it was stated that a number of parties benefited from the development project, namely Johnny G. Plate received money amounting to Rp17,848,308,000.00; President Director of BAKTI Anang Achmad Latif received Rp5 billion; and personnel from Human Development at the University of Indonesia (HUDEV UI) Yohan Suryanto received Rp453,608,400.

Furthermore, Irwan Hermawan received Rp119 billion; Windi Purnama as Director of PT Multimedia Berdikari Sejahtera received Rp500 million; Muhammad Yusrizki as Director of PT Basar Utama Prima received Rp50 billion and 2.5 million US dollars; Consortium FiberHome PT Telkominfra PT Multi Trans Data (PT MTD) for Package 1 and 2 received Rp2,940,870,824,490.

Then, the Huawei SEI Linta Consortium for package 3 received IDR 1,584,914,620,955.00; and the IBS and ZTE Consortium Packages 4 and 5 received IDR 3,504,518,715,600.
