Palo Alto Reveals Some Of The Most Risky Industries To Cyber Threats
JAKARTA - The 2023 Palo Alto Networks' Unit 42 Attack Surface Threat Report report reveals that 80 percent of external attack surfaces target cloud services.
In terms of potential risks to threats, reports state that IT infrastructure, security, and manufacturing industry networks are ranked first (48%), which could result in a risk of reducing production and revenue.
In second place, financial institutions are also often the industry most vulnerable to cyber threats through file-sharing services (38%).
For the central government, a file-sharing management system and an unsafe data storage center are one of the most significant risk surface attack threats.
Palo Alto said that this type of method accounts for more than 46 percent of all risk threats that exist in central government organizations in general.
Furthermore, health organizations are also a fertile field for cyber threat actors, of which about 56 percent of the development ecosystem exposed to the public is often not well configured and prone to attacks.
As for the utility and energy sector, IT's infrastructure control centers connected to the internet accounted for 47 percent of the total exposure threats.
